The necklace’s patterns swirl around the wearer’s neck in warm, looping patterns stitched from faceted garnets, crystal, and a wide range of seed beads. The piece is backed with brown deerskin leather, and finished with a gold-tone toggle clasp.
I created “Unfurling” using an intuitive beading process. I do not design a pattern ahead of time; instead, I allow the shape and form of the piece to develop as I bead. The result is an expressive and truly unique statement necklace.
