Swirling green beaded stud earrings

$60.00
These handmade bead embroidered earrings are lightweight, eye catching, and comfortable to wear. They provide big impact without the weight or pull on your ears.

I've handcrafted the center focal cabochons from polymer clay. These cabochons feature a shimmering leafy swirl pattern in white, silver, and two shades of green. The white and silver clays have a gorgeous soft shimmer.

The cabochons have been topped with artist-quality resin, that creates a shiny, mirror-perfect finish. The cabochons are surrounded by faceted, matte white crystal. While the crystal is faceted, the matte finish gives it almost a velvety look, and a soft shine rather than sparkle.

For the beadwork I've used high-quality Japanese seed beads (Miyuki brand) in size 11/0 and 15/0, in matte white and shiny green. I love the contrast between the matte and shiny finishes throughout!

The beadwork is backed by buttery soft 100% Canadian leather. The leather provides the beadwork with strength and durability, as well as ensuring the earrings wear comfortably against your skin. I buy my leather as scrap offcuts from a local business, which reduces waste while providing my customers with top quality leather. The leather used in this pair is a natural tan color.

I've used hypoallergenic earring posts made from implant grade ASTM F67 titanium, which is nickel-free and better for most sensitive ears than sterling silver. The posts have been paired with a wide, comfort-fit push backing. The earring post is also set behind the leather backing (not glued or stitched on top), providing greater durability and comfort during wear.

Like most of my beaded jewelry, this pair of earrings is one-of-a-kind and won't be duplicated.
