The beadwork contains only high quality Japanese seed beads in size 15/0 and 11/0, in a variety of eye-catching finishes. Each bead has been hand-embroidered onto blue beading felt. The beading has been stabilized with a flexible plastic core to ensure the piece stays strong and looks great, even after years of wear.
The beadwork is backed by buttery soft deerskin leather in a natural tan colour.
The beadwork has been mounted on an 8 cm (approx. 3.15 inch) French-style barrette hair clip with two variable tension settings. Wear it to hold back ponytail, clip up a section of hair, or as a decorative element in a complicated updo. This size of clip is sufficient to hold all of my hair – but if you have very thick hair, this piece may work better as a hair ornament.
